St Monans – great for foodies
The popular seaside resort of St Monans on the Fife coast was recently chosen by The Daily Telegraph as one of the 20 most beautiful coastal villages in Britain*.
Nominated as ‘Best for Food’, St Monans was one of only 3 villages in Scotland to feature on the list, and the only one in Fife & Kinross with its easy access from Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The Daily Telegraph loved that St Monans is one of the quietest of a number of lovely former fishing villages along the Fife coast, with Elie, Pittenweem, Anstruther, Cellardyke and Crail all being mentioned.
Food and drink are definitely a highlight of any visit, with options from fish and chips to michelin-starred restaurants as well as the famous East Pier Smokehouse and numerous specialty food shops, farm shops and markets.
We may be biased, but we also think our Fife coastal path is among the best, linking many of the villages, and often with views of our wonderful family-friendly sandy beaches too.
As local experts East Fife Holiday Homes has a great selection of rental properties right along the coast, so if you want to visit St Monans or any of our other beautiful villages please explore our website or call us to discuss your perfect break on.
Here’s a selection of properties in St Monans to whet your appetite …
Stay at the water’s edge at The Harbour House – sleeps 8
Enjoy panoramic views from The Deck House – sleeps 6
Take a harbour-side break at The Sail Loft – sleeps 6
