The area is Golfer heaven with Lundin Links and Elie Golf House (plus Elie Sports Club also offers a nine-hole course suitable for beginners, a pitch and putt green as well as tennis and golf camps for children during the school holidays) whilst the famous links courses, the Old Course St Andrews and Kingsbarns, are less than 15 miles away. A brand new course, the Dumbarnie Golf Links Golf Course and Country Club which opened in May 2020, is just 4 miles approx outside of Elie. There is also an equestrian centre at Kilconquhar Castle Estate, and the recently revamped 17th century pub and restaurant, The Kinneuchar Inn whose chef patron, James Ferguson, has outstanding culinary credentials..St Andrews has an array of excellent shops and restaurants, as well as a cinema, theatre and indoor swimming pool.
