Overview

This is a totally self-contained lower half of one of the original detached coastguard cottages. It is situated very close to the harbour beach and The Ship Inn, with lovely views out to sea. There is private parking for up to 2 small cars in-front of the lounge/bedroom windows, and a sizeable porch for storage of wet weather gear, golf clubs and such. Exterior bench at the front. Newly externally re-painted, and new double glazed windows fitted (January 2023). NB. There is no private garden with the property.

The Location

Braehead Lane is located just past The Ship Inn on the same side. At the top of the short lane, the building is positioned on the left, then immediate right. Parking is in-front of the ground floor conversion (lounge and bedroom windows) facing towards the wall. I large car or 2 small cars can fit here. Our long Sandy beach is within 2 minutes walk back down the lane, with Elie Pier and the harbour within 5 minutes walk. The popular seaside destination of Elie boasts one of the finest sandy beaches in Scotland. Sailing and water sports are available at Elie Harbour, and there is an 18 hole golf course, and a 9 hole course suitable for beginners. Elie Sports Club offers golf practice facilities, several hard tennis courts, new Paddle tennis courts and a bowling green. Elie is well served by local shops which include Barnett's Bakery, The Elie Deli, Elie Newsagents and Davidson's Chemist, pubs, restaurants and cafés including the renowned Ship Inn and the 19th Hole. Other recreational opportunities include horse riding, with the Fife Pony Club for younger enthusiasts.
